Eyes Wide Open｜IdleBeats Classic Screen Printed Art Work Series
Screen printing requires both creativity and handcraft labor work. IdleBeats has been practicing in both fields since 2009, years of working experience made us highly respect labor workers in all kinds of professions. In particular, IdleBeats' artist Nini Sum is very enthusiastic participating in working-class related charity projects, trying to help improve their living conditions in her own way - making art.
This art print is called Eyes Wide Open, created by Nini Sum when Idlebeat’s studio was located in Changle Lu, as a result from the poster exhibition hosted by the “work wear as fashion” street brand Ospop at the time. Reflecting the theme of compassion for China’s working class, all proceeds from the sale of prints at the event went to the non-profit organization Compassion for Migrant Children, which supports educational initiatives for the children of China’s migrant laborers.
